Westlyn is a rock band from Columbus, Ohio influenced by bands such as Radiohead, Mute Math, Jimmy Eat World, and Death Cab for Cutie. Their sound is a blend of screaming electric guitars meshed into a backdrop of beautiful ambient textures, vocal melodies, and harmonies. Westlyn was formed in 2018 when JT Meyer (Owen Grey & The Veils), Adam Kimura (Avid Indifference), and Paul Batchelder (Fashion Week & For Us the Living) began collaborating and writing music. They were later joined by Jonathan Batchelder (Anderson Cale & Broomtree). They shortly after released their debut album Gardens in April of 2020.
